About Us

Origin Story

A few years back, I went looking for a new toolbelt, only to realize none of them met the basic needs of a working carpenter. After settling for one and heading back to the jobsite, I brought it up with the crew. The consensus was clear: none of us were ever truly satisfied. We always had to compromise—misplaced pouches, weight distribution that felt wrong, or tools that didn’t sit where they should.

That realization hit hard. How could something so fundamental to the trade miss the mark for so many of us? The answer seemed obvious: these toolbelts weren’t being designed by carpenters. So, I decided to do something about it.

First Product

If you’re wondering why a company with "Toolbelts" in its name doesn’t have a toolbelt available yet—well, I’m working on it. When I first decided to take this path, I interviewed and surveyed hundreds of carpenters to ensure the design reflected the needs of many, not just my own.

One major complaint stood out: the hammer handle. Day after day, it smacks against your leg, a small but relentless annoyance we’ve all just learned to live with.

I decided it was time to stop settling. While I continue perfecting the toolbelt, I’m tackling this problem first. Enter the Hammer Locker—a patent-pending design featuring a magnet on a tapered base. It locks your hammer in place, keeping that handle from driving you crazy all day long.

The vision behind the toolbelt is simple: to meet the core needs of a carpenter. Every detail was designed with practicality and efficiency in mind, ensuring tool placement that just makes sense—so you can stay productive on the jobsite.

What began as my personal ideas evolved into something greater as I gathered input from others in the trade. The goal now is to create products shaped by the collective experience of working carpenters, not just my own perspective. The Yarrington Toolbelt is built for professionals—those putting in the work, day in and day out.
